Claire House.

Set up on the Wirral in 1998, Claire House is a Children’s Hospice that helps seriously ill children and young adults live their lives to the full – bringing a sense of normality back to family life. Originally looking after 10 families, the hospice now provides support for over 400 with the help of trained professionals providing specialist nursing care, as well as emotional support.

But Claire House is more than just about giving care to those in need. It's a place for children to relax and have fun - with a sensory room, art room, hydrotherapy pool and jacuzzi, there’s plenty to keep everyone happy.

Claire House opened the doors to its Liverpool location in 2018 before relocating to its new site, a few years later, in West Derby. The aim of the Liverpool hospice is to open another site to meet the demand within the region. This is in response to the 61% increase in the number of children and young people needing care over the past five years, with over half from north of the Mersey.
